Araba Fenice simbolo di rinascita 2.0?
Araba Fenice, un mito, anzi una creatura mitica, capace di attraversare secoli, millenni e culture. Una conferma?
L’abbiamo citata più volte a proposito di start-up e web-progetti nati e partiti lancia in resta che poi si sono arenati per ripartire ancora in quarta. È un po’ la filosofia delle bolle targate Internet destinate a gonfiarsi e sgonfiarsi fino a esplodere, vedi il primo boom targato inizio anni 2000. Ma a volte ritornano, proprio come l “Araba Fenice”. E gli esempi, come detto sopra, non mancano…
Ma non si vive di sola informatica e dintorni. Vedi, per esempio, la resurrezione del vinile…
Ma torniamo alla nostra Araba fenice, la cui storia, in un certo senso, ricorda quella della Pasqua…
È la storia/parabola del mitico uccello che, periodicamente, si immolava sul fuoco, per poi risorgere dalle proprie ceneri. Aveva una lunghissima esistenza (ben 500 anni!), al termine della quale saliva su una pira per una nuova start-up. Secondo una variante della leggenda moriva in un nido, che si costruiva sulla cima di una palma con i rami di varie piante aromatiche. Non appena aveva esalato l’“ultimo respiro”, dal suo corpo emergeva il figlio che avrebbe seguito il medesimo ciclo vitale del genitore, la nostra Araba Fenice.

We have mentioned it several times in regards to start-ups and web-projects boosted which then ran aground to start again in the air. It is a bit the philosophy of Internet bubbles intended to swell and deflate until it explodes. But sometimes they come back, just like the “Araba Fenice”.
It is the story / parable of the mythical bird that, periodically, sacrificed itself on the fire, to then rise from its own ashes. He had a very long existence (well 500 years!), at the end of which he sacrificed himself on a pyre for a new start-up. According to a variant of the legend, it died in a nest, which was built on the top of a palm with the branches of various aromatic plants. As soon as he exhaled the “last breath,” his son emerged from his body that would follow the same life cycle as the parent.
