Cosmogenesi Maya: nel 1995 compariva all’orizzonte un altro personaggio, all’anagrafe John Major Jenkins che pubblicava Maya Cosmogenesis 2012. Secondo l’autore del volume, il punto del solstizio invernale
e il centro dell’equatore galattico si sarebbero allineati esattamente in data 21 dicembre 2012.
Cosmogenesi e i Maya; questi ne erano a conoscenza e di conseguenza avevano stabilito la fine del loro calendario in quella data: giorno in cui si sarebbe verificata una profonda trasformazione, con una transizione da un’era del mondo a un’altra. Ma sarebbe stata anche un’opportunità di crescita spirituale irripetibile.
Cosmogenesi Maya: per suffragare la sua tesi, Jenkins diceva di avere effettuato i calcoli, mediante osservazioni a occhio nudo, da quote elevate e poste al di sopra di quelle frequentate dai Maya. Sulla base di queste misurazioni, aveva dedotto che il Sole, centro del nostro Sistema Solare
avrebbe incrociato il centro della nostra Galassia proprio il 21 dicembre 2012.
Ma gli storici dicevano che non c’era coincidenza tra la fine del Baktun13 e l’allineamento fra Sole e centro della Galassia. Gli astronomi, per parte loro, informavano che il Sole (si pure in prospettiva) non avrebbe eclissato mai il centro della nostra Galassia.

2012 end of the world (part VII): visions in double altitude.
In 1995 another character appears over the horizon, John Major Jenkins who publishes Maya Cosmogenesis 2012. According to the author of the volume, the point of the winter solstice and the center of the galactic equator would have aligned exactly on December 21, 2012. The Mayans knew this and consequently had established the end of their calendar on that date: the day on which a profound transformation would occur, with a transition from one era of the world to another. But it would also have been an opportunity for unrepeatable spiritual growth.
To substantiate his thesis, Jenkins said he had made the calculations, by observations with the naked eye, from high altitudes and placed above those frequented by the Maya. Based on these measurements, he had deduced that the Sun would cross the center of our Galaxy on December 21, 2012.
But historians say there is no coincidence between the end of baktun 13 and the alignment between the Sun and the center of the Galaxy. Astronomers, for their part, inform that the Sun (even if in perspective) will never eclipse the center of our Galaxy.

In MCMXCV, ex horizonte apparet ingenium alius, natus est Ioannes Maior et prædicantis Imago Metamorphoses MMXII. Secundum Maya auctor esset libri, et de loco in bruma prorsus aciem esset in centro Galactico æquinoctiali December XXI, MMXII. At scriptores non est finis accidit inter 13 et baktun dam inter Solem et in medio Galacto. Astronomi, pro sua parte, ut certiorem fecit Solem (bene in futurum) est centrum nostri VIAE LACTEAE ne occupet.
