Universo Maya e fine (parte IV)

Universo

Universo Maya e dintorni.

English Version

2012 end of the world (part IV): danger already escaped?
In 1975, an author of novels and fantastic stories, Frank Waters, dedicated a short part of his book Mexico Mystique to the topic, or indicated how a Mayan cycle called Baktun 13 was about to end. At the end of this cycle the Mayan calendar shows a long series of zeros. Unlike ours, in the Mayan calendar there is not the end of a millennium, but the closure of a Baktun.
According to Waters, the cosmology of the Mesoamerican people predicted 5 great cosmic eras, each of which lasting over 5,000 years. Each era would have seen the rise, development and decline of a different race. From the beginning of the Mayan history, four would have already passed, namely Water, Air, Fire and Earth.
The one in which the Mayans lived and in which we live, even if still for a very short time, would be that of the Gold, taken in 3114 BC. ending in 2012 AD, when destruction and rebirth would occur again.
Having said that there is no Mayan indication in this sense, it should be remembered that Waters himself had indicated as the date for the end of the Great Cycle … on December 24, 2011. But then?
