Veicolo solare nell’antica Grecia?

Polo Sud Celeste come trovarlo?

The first solar vehicle in history? (part II)

First the chariot pointed towards the celestial pole, then it descended again heading towards the Earth, inflaming the tops of the mountains. From there the fire descended into the cliffs of the valleys below, charring the ground and drying up all the rivers. Jupiter, the father of the gods, could not exempt himself from intervening to save the world from destruction. With one of his arrows he hit Fetonte who, in flames, fell into the river (the Po), whose waters extinguished the flames, while the crazy horses of the cart went towards the sea towards sunset, waiting to leave the next day under the guidance of more experienced hands. The Naiads (the nymphs of the fresh waters) rushed desperately to the banks of the river to learn the fate of the poor youth. When they saw his charred body, they burst into tears and then were transformed into poplars that grow on the banks of the Po river.
