Anello di Moebius e Nodo Gordiano, copia perfetta?
Anello di Moebius o nastro di Moebius: pur non essendo disciplinato da alcuna autorità ufficiale, rappresenta il simbolo internazionale del riciclaggio. Se è accompagnato da una percentuale, indica che il prodotto è stato fabbricato partendo da materiali riciclati. Invece, senza la percentuale, significa che il prodotto è riciclabile.
Il nastro di Möbius è una sorta di paradosso spaziale e geometrico. Deve il suo nome al matematico tedesco August Ferdinand Moebius e indica una superficie, per la quale, non è possibile stabilire un “sopra”, “sotto”, “interno” o “esterno”.
Il Nodo Gordiano è invece un concetto, ovvero una difficoltà inestricabile che può essere risolta solo agendo con decisione ed energia.
Il nodo gordiano era il nodo con il quale Gordio, re dei Figi, aveva stetto il giogo al timone del carro consacrato a Zeus. Una profezia diceva che chi fosse riuscito a scioglierlo sarebbe diventato imperatore d’Asia. E chi avrebbe potuto scioglierlo se non Alessandro Magno, il macedone, che dopo alcuni tentativi falliti, sguainò la spada e troncò il nodo con un fendente?
