Golive è stato per anni il principale competitor degli altri due editor HTML Dreamweaver e Front Page. Come Golive, erano due programmi utilizzati per realizzare i siti Internet e le pagine web.
Nato come come CyberStudio, era il prodotto di punta di una società denominata “GoLive Systems”, Inc. con sede ad Amburgo, il programma è stato acquistato da Adobe nel 1999. Negli anni però Dreamweaver è diventato l’editor dominante e così Adobe finiva per sostituirlo a partire dalla creative Suite 3. Dal 2008 quindi non è più in commercio. Ma se siete dei nostalgici, però, dalla Rete lo si può ancora scaricare…
