Il paradosso di Tesla – una roadster e un destino povero povero…
Un po’ di storia: Nikola Tesla è stato un fisico, inventore e ingegnere serbo, naturalizzato statunitense nel 1891: un vero guru dell’elettromagnetismo tra la fine dell’Ottocento e gli inizi del Novecento.
Dai suo neuroni e sinapsi hanno infatti preso le mosse numerosi brevetti e teorie che sono alla base del moderno sistema elettrico a corrente alternata (CA).
Fu tra i padri della trasmissione di informazioni via onde radio.
Trascurò però sempre di monetizzare le sue scoperte e quindi morì povero e dimenticato all’età di 87 anni nel 1943.
L’attualità: sessant’anni dopo, nel 2003, in suo onore è stata fondata, a San Carlos in California, la Tesla Motors, azienda nata con l’obiettivo di realizzare veicoli elettrici ad alte prestazioni.
Nel 2008 è stato prodotto il primo veicolo, una coupé sportiva, divenuta ben preso l’auto dei Vip e di molte star di Hollywood (Leonardo di Caprio e Arnold Schwarzenegger in primis).
In attesa di altre supercar, l’azienda ha varato anche un programma collaterale targato green economy: la realizzazione di pannelli solari casalinghi la ricarica casalinga dell’auto, senza quindi attingere alla rete pubblica.

A little bit of history: Nikola Tesla was a Serbian physicist, inventor and engineer, US citizen in 1891: a true guru of electromagnetism in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
