Militari: armi pesanti, droni, robot, elmetti anti-scheggia ecc: le polizie Usa rafforzano le loro “batterie” paramilitari e, grazie ai fondi post 11 settembre, acquistano armi e pagano veterani provenienti da fronti caldi quali Iraq e Afghanistan. La svolta militare non è però limitata soltanto alle città possibili bersagli di attacchi terroristici, vedi New York, Los Angeles, Washington, ma anche a centri più piccoli. Negli Usa, dunque, tengono il passo con una società dove le armi sono sempre più diffuse e si prepararono con squadre capaci di usare armamenti avanzati, per affrontare pericoli potenziali quali attacchi kamikaze.
