Among the thousand fjords, in the country of trolls, the Internet travels (or is Opera-ting) to the whole web. It is in fact the name of a web browser produced in 44 different languages from Opera Software, released for Windows, Macintosh, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris and others and is in the top ten of the most popular browsers by Internet users. The birth certificate is dated 1994, edited by Telenor, the largest Norwegian telecommunications company. At the beginning there was a paid license, but with the possibility of using it for free provided you have an advertising banner on the navigation screen. Since 2005, the company, which has been working on its development since 1995, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the foundation, has decided to release the browser for free even without the banner ad. To extend its functionality – and perhaps as a tribute to the first graphical browser in history but it is an assumption from the editorial staff – it supports the architecture for Netscape plug-ins. There is also a special “Opera Mini” version, developed in Java for browsing mobile phones and smartphones.
