Dadi, dado ma sarà stato davvero tratto?
Dadi e dintorni. Abbiamo già visto come il fascino millenario del dado si sia perfettamente coniugato con il Cubo di Rubick, il passatempo moderno che “piace alle persona che piace”. Ma, senza per forza arrivare al XIX secolo, va ricordato che da, un punto di vista strettamente geometrico ed euclideo, cubo e quadrato hanno una valenza, quasi qualcosa di magico, che si è trasfuso dapprima nei dadi e poi proprio nel nostro Cubo. Ritornando alla dimensione ludica, segnaliamo che nel gioco dei dadi ci sono due tipi di giocatore: il lanciatore del dado
e lo scommettitore che effettua delle scommesse.
Il secondo può decidere di puntare sul lanciatore o contro e su un determinato risultato dei dadi.
Ma negli States, la patria acquisita di Halloween
sono state “ribattezzate” delle varianti per renderle il “gioco delle sei facce” ancor più intrigante: tra queste va segnalato il “Chuck a Luck” che si svolge su un tavolo dove sono disegnate le 6 facce dei dadi anche se si gioca con 3 soltanto; ogni giocatore punta su un determinato numero e il “banchiere”, il croupier dedicato a questa variante del game, lancia i dadi e paga alla pari le puntate uscite sui tre numeri, mentre incassa le altre. Non si vive di sole slot machine dunque…
Se un numero esce due volte la vincita si triplica e se esce tre volte la vincita si moltiplica per quattro. Ma esistono altre “declinazioni sul tema”… (continua con il mobile?).

In the dice game there are two types of players: the dice thrower and the bettor who makes bets. The second one can decide to bet on the thrower or against and on a certain dice result. But in the States they have been “renamed” of the variations to make them the “game of the six faces” even more intriguing: among these we must mention the “Chuck a Luck” which takes place on a table where the 6 faces of the dice are drawn even if played with only 3; each player bets on a specific number and the “banker”, the croupier dedicated to this variation of the game, rolls the dice and pays even money on the three numbers, while collecting the others. If a number comes out twice the winnings will triples and if it comes out three times the payout is multiplied by four. But there are other “variations on the theme” … (to be continued?).
