Tric Trac quando si dice: Giochi che passione

Tric Trac o tric(k) trac (che) si potrebbe aggiungere per fare un gioco di parole… Nella galassia dei giochi da tavolo un posto di primo piano va assegnato al tric trac (o tricche tracche) che si pratica su uno speciale tavoliere detto “tavola reale” con dadi e pedine (che ricordano in qualche modo quelle della Dama).

Diffuso già nell’antichità, a Roma e in Grecia, dopo un’impennata d’interesse fra Medio Evo e Rinascimento, è oggi ancora molto popolare nel Mediterraneo orientale; recentemente ha inoltre avuto una nuova giovinezza in Europa e nelle Americhe.

Il gioco si dipana in questo modo: la tavola da gioco è divisa in due metà dove sono disegnate dodici “frecce” (dette anche “case”) bianche e verdi, dalla forma di triangolo allungato e disposte su due file; per giocare si utilizzano 15 pedine bianche e 15 nere, assegnate rispettivamente all’uno e all’altro giocatore, due bussolotti e quattro dadi.

Scopo del gioco è muovere le pedine dalla propria base a quella dell’avversario ed eliminare, durante il tragitto verso la meta, quelle dell’avversario sorprese da sole su una delle case di passaggio. Et alors… vive le Tric Trac! Anche se non ha raggiunto di certo la fama del Poker.

In the galaxy of board games a prominent place has to be assigned to the tric trac (or tricche tracche) which is played with dice and pawns on a special board called “royal table”. Spread already in antiquity, in Rome and Greece, after a surge in interest between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, it is still very popular in the eastern Mediterranean; recently it has also had a new youth in Europe and the Americas. The game unfolds in this way: the game board is divided into two halves where twelve white and green “arrows” (also called “houses”, with a shape are drawn) of elongated triangle and arranged in two rows; to play you use 15 white and 15 black pawns, assigned respectively to one and the other player, two knocks and four dice. The aim of the game is to move the pieces from their base to that of the opponent and eliminate, during the journey towards the goal, those of the opponent surprised by themselves on one of the houses of passage.
