Commodore: i meravigliosi anni 64 – la storia
Commodore e correvano gli anni del liceo (miei) e sul retro di un tris di succhi di frutta comparivano dei talloncini, da attaccare a una scheda di cartone, per partecipare a un concorso: in palio l’agognato “commodoro” 64 (come qualcuno lo chiamava così ai tempi fra il serio e il faceto). Ovviamente non vinsi… ma se lo avessi fatto avrei (forse) ancora in casa un vero cimelio!

Erano gli anni dell’“edonismo reaganiano” della “Milano da bere” ecc, ecc e i computer erano ancora delle strane macchine, molto diverse da quelle attuali; chi le usava era più un programmatore che un utente, giochi e aggiornamenti viaggiavano su nastro (e quindi cassetta) e potevano essere comprati in edicola (oggi le potete trovare su eBay ma non mancano i siti web di nostalgici che cercano di riportarle “nel giro”).Nonostante queste paleo procedure, il nostro Commodore 64 (tra le varie abbreviazioni usate in gergo “C64”, “C-64”, “C=64”, “CBM 64”, “64”), il gioiello della Commodore Business Machines Inc. (commercializzato dal 1982 al 1993 in vari Paesi del mondo) è diventato il computer più venduto della storia (record “omologato” dal Guiness dei Primati): 17 milioni di esemplari.
